Robert Cabral - founder Bound Angels

Robert’s background has spanned many crafts including martial art master teacher, photographer, bodyguard and author, but the one thing you’ll always find him focussed on is making the world a better place for those who can’t help themselves.  Several years ago that lead to founding Bound Angels.  Robert’s edgy approach and eye to detail was a welcomed addition to animal rights and animal rescue community.

Robert immediately began grounding solid relationships with rescue groups, animal rights leaders, shelter workers and management.  His background and unique ability in canine behavior helped save the lives of countless dogs sentenced to death at local shelters.  His temperament tests and compassionate approach has saved the lives of countless dogs.

His photo and video background led him to develop the Shelter Angel Video Program which features adoptable dogs in mini movies seen worldwide on the Bound Angels youtube channel.

Kathy Davis interim General Manager says: “Robert has turned many a hopeless dog into a true life Cinderella story...”

Ed Boks former GM of LAAS, NYC Animal Care and Maricopa County AZ says: “Robert Cabral is an animal behaviorist extraordinaire.... He is a modern day St. Francis of Assisi...”

With more than 25 years of background in the martial arts and a focus on eastern philosophy, Robert’s Zen-like approach gives him a unique edge when dealing with the stressful world of saving animals’ lives.  Robert says, “My primary focus is to create a major change and ‘start a revolution’ for these animals who have little hope.”  Many people believe that because of Robert’s efforts, “the revolution has begun.”

It is Robert’s goal to spread this message of hope and revolution to the widest audience possible and affect the greatest change through media appearances, outreach and speaking engagements.  His PSA’s & Shelter Angel Videos have been seen by thousands worldwide, his speaking engagements to social and school groups have changed the outlook of many more.  His work is just beginning, but it always comes back to where you can find Robert; at a local shelter with one dog, working, training or getting the word out.  According to his slogan...

“you can’t save all the animals in the world, but you can save one.”

It starts with one... and the change will come one at a time!
